Like Blind Date with a Book… but with adoption papers

Just like with our FeLV+ cats, these books start out overlooked. Maybe the cover didn’t grab someone, maybe the story wasn’t given a fair chance, maybe it was sitting forgotten on a shelf. With a little care, a small investment, and some creativity, we can transform that book into a whole new experience—something exciting, inviting, and deeply loved.

One donated book + a little flair = a second chance.
What was once “unwanted” becomes something meaningful and valuable. A free book can be turned into a bundle that raises 5–10x its cost to directly support the cats. That means every page read, every story adopted, is helping us build a sustainable sanctuary for FeLV+ cats who are so often overlooked, too.

Every Adopt-a-Story bundle tells two stories—the one inside the book, and the bigger one we’re writing together for FeLV+ cats.

Book Drop Days

We reveal a limited batch of our Adopt-a-Story Bundles on the 2nd Saturday of the month.

If you prefer to know before you buy, we also release a small selection of regular, unwrapped books on the 4th Wednesday of every month.

Each drop features unique selections released in limited quantities and remains available until that drop’s next scheduled release.

Drop dates are shared on our social media and listed on our Events page. Patreon members get an early peek at upcoming listings before they open to the public..

Missed a drop? Don’t worry—signed copies and special editions are added regularly, and another drop is always just around the corner.

Book Donation Information

Have a stack of books ready for a new story?

We accept gently used books of all genres — Romance, fantasy, thriller, Young Adult, children’s, and more! Each one helps us turn the page toward better care for our FeLV+ cats.

Donation Guidelines

Books should be in good, sellable condition - no mold, rips, or missing pages.

Please pack books in a sturdy box or bag to donate.

We do not accept damaged/moldy books, encyclopedias, magazines, or textbooks.

Bring your books to any of our Upcoming Events, just look for our booth when you arrive!
